Financial Assistance Information for Businesses and Families

  •  For Businesses:

    • Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan 

      • Low-interest loans to help overcome financial hardship due to COVID-19; for more info contact BusinessHelp@Development.Ohio.Gov 

  • For Individuals and Families:

    • Enhanced Unemployment Aid: https://unemployment.ohio.gov/

      • 1  week waiting period suspended.

      • Those who apply for unemployment under these circumstances: people not offered paid leave through their job, people who have been quarantined by a medical professional, or whose employers must temporarily close,  will be exempt from the requirement that they be actively seeking work.

    • Free Wifi

      • Charter Communications will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription.

      • Charter Communications will open its Wi-Fi hotspots across their network for public use.

  • For Everyone:

    • Electric Bill Assistance:

      •  Ohio Edison has discontinued power shut offs and are offering the following payment assistance:  budget billing, energy assistance programs, and other payment arrangements based on situation.
